Updates to Adidas Pureboost ZG

  • The Pure Boost ZG from Adidas was created to encourage the runner to run faster and perform in a more natural way. The mid-sole and outsole units work in tandem in order to provide optimum cushioning and underfoot protection at all times. Impact and shock won’t be a problem for runners because of such high quality components.
  • The upper coverage of this neutral running shoe includes a woven-cloth-like material that’s very breathable and comfortable on the skin. It has been created to follow the natural dimensions of the foot, never disallowing it to move naturally. It feels snug, but it’s not too tight.
  • The mid-sole unit of the Adidas Pure Boost ZG works in cooperation with its outsole. The unit itself was created from the compaction of many TPU pellets, which are durable and springy. It is able to absorb energy and transfer it to the runner, making them feel enabled and energized to take each step.
  • A smooth ride is what the outsole unit has to offer. Made from a durable yet flexible compound, it shields the rest of the sole unit from abrasion and wear. It also adds more cushioning and support to the runner. Its grid-like shape allows it to spread evenly when weight is applied to it, distributing support throughout the entire foot pad.

Adidas Pureboost ZG Size and fit

The Adidas Pure Boost ZG has a regular shoe length. It comes in sizes that follow the standard measurements for men and women. The heel, mid-foot and forefoot sections have medium widths, so it is able to accommodate the runner has a medium sized foot. Its semi-curved shape adheres to the natural curve of the human foot.


Adidas Pureboost ZG Outsole

The outsole unit of the Pure Boost ZG uses EVA or Ethylene vinyl acetate. It has been engineered to provide protection against wear and tear, keeping the shoe intact and safe from damage. It also adds more cushioning to the runner because of its responsive nature.

Natural flexibility is allowed by the outsole. It doesn’t have a stiff nature. It works alongside the mid-sole in order to facilitate freedom of movement for the wearer.


Same as with the shoe's popular counterpart theAdidasPure Boost, the Pure Boost ZG also uses the Boost™ mid-sole technology which is a full-length unit that’s made from the amalgamation of TPU pellets. When formed into one cohesive piece these small, round pieces of Thermoplastic polyurethane cushion the foot well, keeping it safe from impact and discomfort. It’s flexible, as well.


The Primeknit technology is Adidas’ woven-cloth upper construction that’s engineered to follow the contours of the foot. It expands and adapts to the shape of the wearer’s foot, making it easier to gain a form-fitting experience when running.

A sock-like interior keeps irritation at bay. It essentially lets the runner wear the shoe even without using actual socks first.

A molded heel cap secures the rear of the foot and keeps it in place. It’s a helpful component that’s going to prevent accidental shoe removal or wobbliness.
