Updates to Asics Gel Attract 4

  • Asics practically brings back every feature of the past model in the 4th version of the Gel Attract. What is most visible in the update is the new mesh with compression-like fit that hugs the foot in comfort. The upper has enhanced adaptability and molds itself well to the foot of runners.
  • The Asics logo also forms part of the midfoot overlay network. This time around, it has a more substantial role as it is directly connected to the heel overlay that holds the rear from unnecessary movement.
  • The new AHAR+ compound is utilized to enhance the durability of the outsole, particularly in high-impact sections.

Asics Gel Attract 4 Size and fit

Comfortably snug, which is very much like the prior version, best describes the fit of the Attract 4. Runners with narrow to medium requirements in their footwear should be very comfortable in the dimensions provided by this shoe. Standard or medium is the available width of the shoe. Sizing is a little off to the smaller side of standard shoe length. Sizes are from 6 to 15 for the men’s and 4 to 11 for the women’s.

The Asics-exclusive SpEVA midsole foam is innovatively used as a last in the Attract 4. It is directly connected to the outsole and the upper, which helps with the foot-wrapping fit of the shoe. The SpEVA handles the cushioning of the shoe. Adding cushioning, underfoot protection, and support is a molded EVA sockliner. It conforms to the foot rather nicely and can be interchanged with custom orthotics.


The upper is a minimalist style with a new upper that has better stretch to fully adapt to the runner’s foot. Breathability is guaranteed by the open mesh while the synthetic overlays lock down the midfoot and the heel. The moderately padded tongue and collar offer step-in comfort while the 3M reflective materials allow runners to run in low-light areas in safety. Asics’ award-winning Gel Cushioning System is fitted in the heel and forefoot for shock-absorbing features and responsiveness.
