ASICS GEL PULSE 7
Updates to Asics Gel Pulse 7
- The Gel Pulse 7 utilizes Asics’ new AHAR+ Ride Outsole rubber for enhanced cushioning, durability, and traction. It is an improvement of the original AHAR, which is mostly known for its long-lasting qualities.
- The midsole uses a new and lighter foam in the Super SpEVA that is designed to make the ride more responsive. This works together with the Gel Cushioning Units for cushioning and shock-absorbing abilities.
- The Gel Units themselves have been enhanced to help the transition from landing to take off.
- The 7th version of the Pulse uses more eyelets that are evenly spaced out for better, more comfortable, and personalized fit.
- A slightly wider Guidance Line or flex groove in the outsole takes flexibility and smooth transitions to another level. For a shoe that is appreciated for its overpronation measures, these enhancements will make its overall ride better, more flexible, and smoother.
Asics Gel Pulse 7 Size and fit
The overall fit and sizing of the Pulse 7 is fairly similar to the past version. It has a snug heel, average midfoot, and forefoot. Runners with standard widths can get the most out of this shoe. The D and B average widths, 2E or wide, 4E or extra wide are all available. Shoe length is true to size and offered between 7 to 15 for the men’s and 4 to 12 for the women’s.
Asics Gel Pulse 7 Outsole
Just like the popular Asics Gel Contend 4, the Gel Pulse 7 uses blown AHAR rubber which enhances as much as 3 times the durability of the original Asics carbon rubber in high-impact areas while its traction and cushioning enjoy upgrades as well without compromising weight. A full-length Guidance Line or the substantial flex groove from the heel to the forefoot makes the shoe naturally more flexible and enhances the transition.
Asics Gel Pulse 7 Midsole
Asics introduces the Super SpEVA as an upgrade to its current midsole foams where durability, resiliency, and responsive features are concerned. This foam has a very nice mix of soft and firm densities to get the right combination of shock attenuation and bounce back characteristics. The Gel Units, according to Asics, has upgraded material to absorb shock better. These units are slightly longer and larger than before to help the runner go through the gait cycle. A thermal shank in the midsole or the Trusstic System gives the shoe torsional stability and structure.
Asics Gel Pulse 7 Upper
A regular mesh and synthetic overlays combination provide sufficient shoe breathability and upper support to theGel Pulse 7 and even its latest version, theGel Pulse 9. A removable ComforDry Sockliner enhances a luxurious feel, but can also be replaced with custom orthotics. Asics utilizes the 3M Reflectivity for low-visibility running.
